🤮Check In Prayer🤮
As I navigate feelings of isolation today, I pray everyone feels held in the arms molded to your shape. I pray that time spent with yourself is intentional and fulfilling. I pray that love for yourself is centered with and without the help of others.
🤮Y’all WRITING writing🤮
This week’s Substack Shoutouts
be WRITING writing. Her words are butter slipping into the next, full and fatty, PHEW! Their recent piece “Watching You, Watching Me” demonstrates how anyone’s self-perception can be shattered in an instance by the rocks of personal evolution. As we move through our own world we must be okay with our ebbing and flowing tides, otherwise we find ourselves in the same traps we’ve set up to judge those around us.
If you not reading wtf you reading??? This some of the most beautifulest stuff I ever read. A TRUE wordsmith. His recent “How hard should you _____ a woman?” series makes my toes curl. I know every other bitch (gender neutral) on this app got a crush on him at this point. You know what you’re doing Azeez…keep going.
first roped me in with their poem “Taken”. Their lesbian erotica is brilliant, it transports me to a place where the supple touch of a woman is dead center. Not helpful when I’m at work but great when riding the bus. Really this shoutout is inspired by their recent ploy to build community amongst their subscribers in the chat. It’s beautiful to see a less vertical relationship between a writer and their readers.🤮I <3 Consumption🤮
What I’m Reading
Milan Kundera - The Unbearable Lightness of Being
I received this book from a friend three years ago just after my father unexpectedly died. She told me it had helped her understand grief in someway. It’s difficult to face a mechanism dealing with grief because you know it will be confronted. I am ready and will be working my way through it slowly. This friend in particular was a solid rock during my grieving process and often bared the brunt of my eratic emotional state. In reading this I am reconnecting to a comforting space of love she provided for me. I’ll let you know how that goes.
What I’m Watching
Youtube Channel - Reelblack One
This channel is e-ver-y-thinggg. It’s a Black video archive. There’s music performances, lesser known stand up comedian performances, old films and documentaries, From the 1950s through the 2000s. I recently watched James Earl Jones play the first Black president in 1972 film The Man. Likeeee my Aquarius rising individuality complex LIVES in this channel.
What I’m Listening To
3ee - “Luv Songs”
Unfortunately this white man has used the power of imitation to created some of the most splendid sounds I’ve heard this year. Early 2000s Justin Timberlake, Neptunes, Timbaland moment. If I had discovered him before November he would’ve been all up and down my year end stats.
What I’m Eating/Drinking
A lor *too much* alcohol.
I been OUTSIDEEE! I’m telling y’all while my wallet and liver role their eyes at me like…sigh “we know”.
I will soon be retiring because winter time is for being a stoner. When you see my eyes hanging low you know what’s good. Come spark wit me mama! We love to share
🤮Craziest Shit I Seen This Week🤮
What tf is happening in Syria???
I have been trying with all my might to understand the fuckery happening in Syria, but Western media is doing what it does best. When there are colonial/imperial conquests to protect, the media must make events completely indecipherable.
This is what I understand is happening:
It’s tragic and directly tied in multiple ways to the every day lives of Americans. Not enough people will know anything about it because big media outlets won’t be covering. We will be witnessing the conquests of multiple states in the name of resources while masses of people die.
I know this is a lot to take in. It can feel overwhelming or distressing, but being informed is important so we are able to connect the struggles of many peoples together. We continue to fight at home in solidarity with struggles around the world!
🤮Lesson Learned This Week🤮
Jealousy is a Chameleon
He hides himself under the cloak of many emotions and judgements. I’ve never been one to cry “jealousy” when dealing with interpersonal issues, but that is swiftly changing.
As I contemplate the faces revealed in my exhibitions of jealousy, it more clearly shows itself in the actions of others too. My jealousy shields itself in expressions of disdain. If I haven’t been afforded it, no one else should. If they are afforded it, it looks bad on them. 2+2 is not equalling 4, but now we know what to look for.
I am me, perfectly created. There is nothing for me to be jealous of in others.

Painting Your Nails
Painting your nails at home can be a mess. Paint all on your skin and what not. I have something to solve this for ya
PRO TIP: When you’re painting, make sure you’re anchoring your hand by placing the pinky of your painting hand on the table. It stablizes your hand, giving you more control over the strokes. Purrrr x
